Introduction
InboxPlus / InboxPro ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application InboxPlus / InboxPro - Email Cleaner ("App") handles your information.
Key Point: InboxPlus / InboxPro processes all email data locally on your device. Email content and Gmail metadata are not sent to our servers, Firebase, advertisers, or data brokers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we do NOT do:
- We do NOT send or store the content of your emails on our servers
- We do NOT collect your email addresses or contact lists
- We do NOT track your email activity
- We do NOT sell personal data or share it for advertising, cross-app tracking, or data-broker purposes
- We do NOT display advertisements or use your data for advertising purposes
- We do NOT have access to your Google account password
How the App Works
The App uses Google Sign-In to authenticate your account. When you sign in:
- Google provides a secure access token to the App
- The App uses this token to access your Gmail data through Google's official API
- All data processing happens locally on your device
- Email metadata (sender names, email counts) is displayed only within the App
- No email content or metadata is ever sent to our servers
How We Use Your Email Data
To provide its features, the App reads parts of your emails locally on your device:
- Sender information and email counts — to group and clean up your inbox
- Newsletter and subscription details — to detect senders and unsubscribe
- Receipt and invoice emails from Apple and Google Play — to build your Payments Report (Beta)
- Travel, accommodation, ticket, event, and reservation emails — to build your on-device My Plans timeline, including relevant dates, booking references, and pass details
This analysis happens entirely on your device. Your email content is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers or any third party.
Google API Services
InboxPlus uses Google API Services to access your Gmail account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Storage
The App may store the following data locally on your device:
- Your authentication token (to keep you signed in)
- App preferences and settings
- Cached email sender information (for faster loading)
- Derived plan and reservation details (for the My Plans timeline and reminders)
This data is stored only on your device and is deleted when you sign out or uninstall the App.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In: For secure authentication
- Google Gmail API: To access your email data
- Firebase Analytics: To understand app usage and purchase conversion using limited app-instance, device, and product-interaction information
- Firebase Crashlytics: To diagnose crashes and stability problems using crash logs, device/OS details, and installation identifiers
- Apple App Store and Google Play: To process in-app purchases and restore entitlements
Firebase does not receive Gmail content, sender information, authentication tokens, reservation details, or payment-report contents. Analytics and diagnostic information is used only to operate and improve InboxPlus. It is not linked with data from other companies for advertising or advertising measurement, and it is not shared with data brokers.
No Advertising or Cross-App Tracking
InboxPlus does not display advertisements, does not include Google AdMob, does not access Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track users across apps or websites. For information about how Firebase handles limited analytics and diagnostic data, please see Privacy and Security in Firebase.
Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication through Google
- No storage of passwords or sensitive credentials
- All communication with Google servers uses HTTPS encryption
- Local data is protected by your device's security features
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Sign out of the App at any time
- Revoke the App's access through your Google Account settings
- Delete all local data by uninstalling the App
